About me

I'm a Games User Experience Designer and Producer from Ann Arbor, Michigan, with experience in full pipeline UX/UI design for games and project management in startups + non-profits. My UX practice is founded on modern principles of intentional accessiblity, an HCI psychology baseline, and driving iteration with user-research and playtesting. With my skill set I sit at the intersection of user flow design, visual system architecture and business operations, making me a potent force for any team that needs to bridge the gap between creative, tech and management either in UX design or production roles.

I learned UX research and design from the cutting edge of the field at the University of Michigan's School of Information. I believe in intentional inclusivity in design: that you find the best inspiration for design by engaging with the communities you are designing for. I'm also a big believer that while good UX can feel "invisible", great UX adds positive sensation and momentum to the games they inhabit.   1. WolverineSoft Studios

    Studio Director

    2022 — 2023

    Developed long term strategy for a team of 46 designers, programmers & artists to ensure the longevity of the studio across regular changes in leadership, cohort size & game scope while overseeing production on 5 titles.

    Facilitated regular player and industry-advisor playtests, applying user-research methodologies to promote feedback-driven design iteration.

    UX Designer

    2021 — 2023

    Designed, created assets for, and implemented menu interaction flow, core systems, enemy encounters, & HUD UI in Unity on 4 games launched on Steam, including single-player and online multiplayer titles.

    Used wireframes and concept art to share initial designs with advisors and peers, taking in feedback before iterating to produce final documentation and implementing designs in-engine.

    Led the conception and design of new lead-gen automation web tools and processes to automate the sales funnel.

    Managed projects centered on developing internal & external sales tools, metrics dashboards and process improvements, coordinating their rollouts for global teams and customers.
